Slop Bog Guardians: Conservation Work Party
Monday 27 November 2017 10:00 - 13:00
Activity: We manage our 20 hectares of wet and dry heathland in conjunction with Dorset Countryside and offer a monthly conservation work party. The sorts of things could be fence repairs, scrub clearance, boardwalk repairs etc. We don't need people with relevant experience, just enthusiasm. We are mostly in our 60's and 70's. There was a period some time ago when we used to have some mentally disabled men work with us with their carers, so we can provide for this sort of opportunity. We are always looking for volunteers and all are welcome. See website for more details.
Where: Redwood Drive entrance, Slop Bog Nature Reserve, Ferndown, BH22 9XX
Suggested things to bring: Waterproofs and suitable footwear

Accredited Natural Choices activities are regular (weekly/fortnightly) and providers have public liability insurance and health and safety policies.
Non-accredited Natural Choices activities are less frequent (e.g. monthly) and/or providers are community groups without insurances or policies but activities are equally beneficial to health and wellbeing.
